River City Drum Corp teaches children ages 5-18, with family and community playing an integral part. The program’s cultural philosophy is based on the Nguzo Saba (7 principles of Kwanzaa) and is the primary support structure for the children’s efforts. RCDC celebrates diversity within the community; therefore, children from all ethnicities and religious backgrounds can be part of the Drum Corp family.

Flamenco Louisville creates exciting, authentic performances of flamenco that are scalable for any venue or budget. Drawing on extensive travel and study in the cradle of flamenco in Andalucia, Spain, performances are crafted to showcase the intricate and impactful coordination of music, singing and dance that has inspired travelers and artists for centuries.
Back to the Future 1985 Rated PG – In this 1980s sci-fi classic, small-town California teen Marty McFly is thrown back into the ‘50s when an experiment by his eccentric scientist friend Doc Brown goes awry. Traveling through time in a modified DeLorean car, Marty encounters young versions of his parents, and must make sure that they fall in love, or he’ll cease to exist. Even more dauntingly, Marty has to return to his own time and save the life of Doc Brown.

Kentucky Shakespeare is a nonprofit, professional theatre company, the Official Shakespeare Festival of the commonwealth and the largest in-school arts education outreach provider in Kentucky. Since 1990, Kentucky Shakespeare has served over 1,000,000 students in all 120 Kentucky counties and beyond with in-classroom arts workshops and residencies and full school performances and assemblies.
Mary Hamilton travels throughout Kentucky and the nation telling stories and teaching others about the art of storytelling. Through her repertoire of stories suitable for varied ages and venues, Mary entrances with fairy tales, chills with haunting tales, provokes thought with first person autobiographical tales, enhances appreciation of Kentucky folklore with a truly wide sampling of Kentucky folktales, engages the youngest listeners with joining in telling, entertains older citizens with an art form many fondly recall from their earlier days and much more.
The Birdcage 1996 Rated R – When Val Goldman asks Barbara Keely to be his wife, he can’t possibly envision the chaos it will create between their parents. Val’s dad is gay nightclub owner Armand, and his “mother” is Armand’s permanent life partner, Albert, better known by his stage name Starina. Barbara’s parents, Senator Kevin Keely and his wife Louise, want to meet Val’s “parents”, who decide the best plan is for Albert to pose as a woman.
In the past few years Cherry Poppin’ Daddies have become the kind of band that you would want to book if you were throwing a soiree at the Gatsby mansion. Penning elegant, lush, pitch perfect arrangements of much of the great American songbook, from Cole Porter to Frank Sinatra, the Daddies have surprised many- likely familiar with them from the early 90’s- whose limited exposure to the band undoubtedly consists of an image of spray painted vans careening across the US as an iconoclastic, misfit part of an already marginalized punk/ska scene.
Davina Sowers and the Vagabonds have created a stir on the national music scene with their high-energy live shows, level A musicianship, sharp-dressed professionalism, and Sowers’ commanding stage presence. With influences ranging from Fats Domino and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits, the band is converting audiences one show at a time, from Vancouver to Miami and across Europe.

Stand By Me 1986 Rated R – After learning that a stranger has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go see the body. On the way, Gordie Lachance (Wil Wheaton), Vern Tessio (Jerry O’Connell), Chris Chambers (River Phoenix) and Teddy Duchamp (Corey Feldman) encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives.
