River City Drum Corps is one of Kentucky’s premiere youth organizations. Founded in 1990 by Ed “Nardie” White, the River City Drum Corps is a non-traditional arts and education concept which molds traditional African drumming, percussive music training, performance and cultural education into one focus.

Flamenco Louisville – Spanish dance form is an exciting way to express your feelings with beauty and strength. You’ll enjoy a short demonstration of Flamenco; then up on your feet to try Flamenco rhythms and dance moves yourself. Bring your creative self, your cultural curiosity and get ready to shout “Ole!” Diana DiNicola is a co-founder of Flamenco Louisville, teaching  amenco dance in Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati, for the KY Governor’s School for the Arts and the Louisville Ballet.

Mary Hamilton’s early adventures in the storytelling spotlight led to a note on her report card, trips to the confessional, and smiles of delight on the faces of her 3rd grade classmates. Mary entertains audiences of adults, families, or children with Kentucky tales, world folk & fairy tales, plus a few myths, legends, true stories, and original fiction. She has told stories at storytelling festivals, performing arts festivals, conferences, universities, theatres, libraries, museums, schools, and private gatherings.

KY Shakespeare – Romeo & Juliet This one-hour interactive “doing” workshop provides students with the perfect introduction to Shakespeare through audience participation and dramatic storytelling. Our Artist Educator will guide the class through Romeo & Juliet with your students playing the characters. Students will have the opportunity for discussion and synthesis of their theatre experience throughout the workshop. Our workshop emphasizes the importance of healthy relationships and conflict resolution!

Zoe Speaks Duo – is not your ordinary folk band. They are rooted deep in family, in the music making,

storytelling lineages of their rural Eastern Kentucky origins, where music is a part of daily life, and

where singing goes hand in hand with working. In addition to sharing banjo, guitar, dulcimer,  fiddle,

and traditional  flatfoot dancing.

40th Anniversary – The NeverEnding Story tells the story of Bastian (Barret Oliver) who, on his way to school one day, ducks into a bookstore to avoid bullies. Sneaking away with a book called “The NeverEnding Story,” Bastian begins reading it in the school attic. The novel is about Fantasia, a fantasy land threatened by “The Nothing,” a darkness that destroys everything it touches. The kingdom needs the help of a human child to survive. When Bastian reads a description of himself in the book, he begins to wonder if Fantasia is real and needs him to survive.
